I’m thinking about these very issues for Climate Justice Portland a lot these days. Transformational organizing and justice-based organizing is the only way, but building that culture in a new organization that is primarily white — that’s what we have to figure out.
This article makes me fantasize about how we could by pass the pity-party of ‘why aren’t we ‘diverse’?’ And think about how to construct an organization/network/formation of parties based on fundamental principles of anti-oppression and transformation.
